EliteFuel made fuel payments in Kazakhstan cashless. Drivers top up a prepaid balance; the cashier enters the amount on a POS terminal app; the driver scans a QR at the till; and MQTT (QoS 2) pushes paid or canceled to both devices the moment the sale settles — then a receipt prints on a Bluetooth thermal printer. At SoftTeam I led mobile development as one of two Android engineers: I built both the client and the terminal apps, guided the iOS port, and kept the system in production for 4.5 years, through AGP 4→8.4, Kotlin 1.9, and API 34 migrations. Cyrillic breaks ESC/POS code pages, so the terminal renders Android views to bitmaps and prints them as images.

We were a small team — I led the Android side, built both halves of every sale (the driver's app and the cashier's terminal), and kept them talking for four and a half years.

SHARE is Majid Al Futtaim's loyalty programme: one digital card for the group behind Mall of the Emirates, Carrefour, VOX Cinemas and Ski Dubai, with points spendable like money at real store terminals. I built it at DashDevs from January to July 2019, before the September launch — biometric login, SHARE Pay features, and the modular architecture itself: 92 Gradle modules, every feature split into ui/presentation/domain/data layers so a distributed team could ship in parallel. It was my first multi-module architecture, and the lesson stuck — big projects become puzzle pieces you assemble into one picture. The programme has since grown from 2,300 outlets to 5,000+ brands across three countries.

Dozens was a dual-FCA-licensed London fintech built to move people "from spender to saver to investor": current account and card, budgets and round-ups, 5% fixed-interest bonds, and a retail Invest tab. I was there from day one — I created the Android repository (first commit: 28 May 2018) and stayed through March 2020: 1,472 commits, the #4 contributor. I owned the app's hardest visual layer — percentile fan-chart projections with custom renderers on MPAndroidChart, client-side financial math on Apache Commons Math — and set up the Jenkins CI that shipped it. Dozens launched in nine months, grew to 60,000 customers, and closed in August 2022 in the COVID-era funding collapse. This is where the journey starts.
